Water is so wonderfully abundant here in our mountain valley of Ecuador that I exult. It is clean and pure and playful as it meanders through our pastures, leaving everything green.
In contrast, our river can be overwhelming. All day long we hear the wind and the water rushing down our valley. It wouldn’t be nice to live right on the river as it is too powerful and sucks away all our attention. However, being just a hundred yards away is sufficient distance to keep Earth, air and water in balance.
